Behavior: get in the middle of recess

Polly Bath: We may not like doing recess duty, but it really is an opportunity to teach skills.
When I get recess duty, I get right down there on the playground. You can’t teach skills by staying up on the tarmac, watching from afar.
By being down on the playground, we can watch out for those kids who tend to do things they aren’t suppose to. Instead of waiting for another kid to come and tell us.
I have found that being visible is the number one thing that helps to manage behavior.
