Instead of canceling school events for behavior…

Polly Bath: When kids don’t know how to act during certain events, we cancel them. Kids can’t behave during an assembly, we cancel all assemblies. Kids can’t behave during a school dance, we cancel all dances.

We tell kids that they can’t play dodgeball, kickball, football, foursquare, wallball, and red rover because they don’t know how to play nice, play safely.

But how will kids learn how to behave if we’ve cancelled all events, sports, and games.

Instead we need to get in there and teach them!
