Managing Effective IEP Meetings
Available as a Workshop and/or Consulting by Carol Kosnitsky
Time is one of those things there is just too little of, especially in public schools. Regardless, special education teams are required to meet and make a range of significant decisions about students with special needs. As a result, having a well-planned and facilitated IEP meeting is essential. This workshop will focus on the strategies that ensure meeting goals are met in an efficient manner, while honoring the range of emotional and communication issues that can easily derail meetings. Developing agendas, defining roles, facilitating discussions and successfully drawing meetings to a close are just some of the topics to be covered.
Target Audience: special educators, special education administrators, and principals
